Getting to the Guangzhou Watch Market
The best way to get to the Guangzhou Watch Market is to go to your hotel lobby and tell them you want to go to ZanXi Road. If you explain that you are looking for a watch they will be able to write the name in Chinese for you to show a cab driver.
Cab fares are cheap in Guangzhou - you will probably pay about $3 or so from just about any hotel in the area (assuming you aren't staying by the airport). Note that if you are planning on catching a train to Hong Kong or Shenzhen after shopping for a watch you need to give yourself some time - the watch district is right by the west train station. You want the east train station if you are going down to SZ or into HK - just a heads up because a lot of tourists make this mistake. The watch district is HUGE - if possible give yourself a few hours to really browse the selection. |  |
